Members: Create a SchooLinks Account

This article will show Industry Partners, College Representatives and Job Seek to create and set up an account in SchooLinks.

In SchooLinks, the term โ€œMembersโ€ refers to five user types: College Representatives, Industry Partners, Job Seekers, Alumni, and Guardians.


This article explains how the following member types can create their SchooLinks account:

  • Industry Partners

  • College Representatives

  • Job Seekers

Sign Up as a Member

SchooLinks distinguishes the user experience specific to your role when setting up your SchooLinks account. This approach ensures a more tailored experience and workflow designed specifically for each member's individual needs.

  1. Go to app.schoolinks.com or click the button below:

  2. Click Sign up as a member.

  3. Select the role that best describes you.

Each section below outlines a description of each member type and includes detailed instructions for the sign-up process.

Industry Professional

An Industry Partner is a professional affiliated with an employer who engages with students through career exploration and work-based learning activities. This may include mentoring, job shadowing, guest speaking, or offering internships and other WBL opportunities.

Benefits of SchooLinks for Industry Partners:

  • Increased visibility among local students and educators

  • A centralized place to connect with schools and promote opportunities

  • The ability to participate in district-hosted events and support talent pipeline development

Industry Professional Sign-Up Instructions

  1. Create an account by connecting SchooLinks with your Google or LinkedIn account, or select Sign up with email to create an account manually.

  2. If you choose to sign up with email, enter the required account information:

    • First & Last Name (required)

    • Email (required)

    • Phone (required)

    • Password (required)

    • Photo (optional)

  3. After connecting your Google or LinkedIn account or completing the required information for email sign-up, review and agree to the terms of use and privacy policy.

  4. Click the dropdown to select your organization. If your organization is not in SchooLinks already, then type it in manually. Click Continue to access your SchooLinks member dashboard.


College Representative

A College Representative is someone who represents a college or university and works with schools to connect with prospective students.

Benefits of SchooLinks for College Representatives:

  • A dedicated dashboard with insights on event activity, profile engagement, and student questions

  • The ability to search for and register for district-hosted events

  • Tools to promote scholarships and opportunities to local students

  • A centralized space to answer student questions and strengthen outreach efforts

College Representative Sign-Up Instructions

  1. Enter the following account information

    • First & Last name (required)

    • Institutional name (required) - Add the name of your institution. If your institution is not listed, click the Chat button in the lower right corner of the screen to chat with one of our support representatives, and we will get you set up. -- *Note: We do not allow text entry here to prevent incorrect entries. Limiting this to a list of institutions allows the list to stay consistent and accurate.

    • Work email (required)

    • Phone number (required)

    • Password (required)

    • Photo (optional)

  2. Agree to the terms of use and privacy policy, then click Continue.

  3. You will receive an email prompting you to click a link to verify your account.


Job Seeker

A Job Seeker is a member who is not yet linked to a high school. These users may be early-career individuals or adults exploring new pathways.

Benefits of SchooLinks for Job Seekers:

  • Access to the Career Center for researching occupations and exploring career pathways

  • Access to the Opportunity Board to find internships, volunteer roles, and employment opportunities

  • The option to link to their high school or add a work affiliation, which unlocks expanded ways to engage with schools and students

Job Seeker Sign-Up Instructions

  1. Create an account by connecting SchooLinks with your Google or LinkedIn account, or select Sign up with email to create an account manually.

  2. If you choose to sign up with email, enter the required account information:

    • First & Last Name (required)

    • Email (required)

    • Phone (required)

    • Password (required)

    • Photo (optional)

  3. After connecting your Google or LinkedIn account or completing the required information for email sign-up, review and agree to the terms of use and privacy policy. Click Continue to access your SchooLinks member dashboard.
