Members: Create a SchooLinks Account

This article will show Industry Partners, College Representatives and Alumni how to create and set up an account in SchooLinks.

In SchooLinks, the term "Members" encompasses four different user types: Industry Partners, College Representatives, Alumni, and Guardians. This article describes the account creation and setup process for:

  • Industry Partners *also referred to as Business Partners or External Partners

  • College Representatives

  • Alumni who did not use SchooLinks in high school

Create an Account

Click the link below to begin the process of creating a member account


  1. Click Sign up as a member in the bottom right corner of the login page

  2. Create an account by connecting SchooLinks with an existing Google or LinkedIn account, or click "Sign up with Email" to create an account by providing the following information:

    • First & Last Name (required)

    • Email (required)

    • Phone (required)

    • Password (required)

    • Photo (optional)

  3. Check the box to agree with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, then click Continue

Member Dashboard Overview

Upon account creation, you will be taken to your Member Dashboard.

  1. From the Top Navigation Bar you can view alert notifications, access the Help Center, manage your Account Settings, and enable Language Translation

  2. The To Dos section will populate with reminders of upcoming user-specific to dos

  3. Add your education and work experience to start connecting with districts as a college rep or industry partner, or join your high school network as an alum

  4. Take advantage of our in-app resume builder by building out your Profile

Set Up Your Account

To ensure your member account gives you the access and features you need, select your primary role from the list below and follow the steps for account setup:

Industry Partner Setup Process

Joining SchooLinks as an Industry Partner allows you to explore district events & programs, post opportunities & scholarships, and share content with students. The following are the minimum steps that must be taken to set up an Industry Partner-recognized member account:

  1. Click Add work experience and provide the required information:

    • Employer Organization: when searching for your employer organization, the search results will show organizations that have already been added to the SchooLinks platform. Select your organization from the list if it has already been added. If your organization does not appear in the search results, use the + Add option to add it and provide the additional information required.

    • Position Type, Position Title, Start Date & End Date: select your position type from the Position type drop down menu, and leave the end date blank if the position is current

    • Responsibilities and Accomplishments (optional): list out the responsibilities of the position and any accomplishments achieved

    • Representation Intentions: select at least one way in which you intend to represent your organization on SchooLinks

  2. Click Save & close when finished

    *Note: If you are the first employee to add your Employer Organization, you will by default be the Organization Manager in SchooLinks.

College Rep Setup Process

Joining SchooLinks as a College Rep allows you to explore district events, post opportunities & scholarships, and share content with students. The following are the minimum steps that must be taken to set up a College Rep-recognized member account:

  1. Click Add work experience and provide the required information:

    • Employer Organization: when searching for your employer organization, you must select the name of your higher ed institution that is pre-populated in the search results


      !! Warning !! Adding an alternative or abbreviated institution name using the + Add option will result in you being recognized as an Industry Partner, not a College Rep. You will then not be able to view college visit availabilities posted by district.


    • Position Type, Position Title, Start Date & End Date: select your position type from the list of types in the drop down menu, and leave the end date blank if the position is current

    • Responsibilities and Accomplishments (optional): list out the responsibilities of the position and any accomplishments achieved

    • Representation Intentions: select at least one way in which you intend to represent your organization on SchooLinks

  2. Click Save & close when finished

Alumni Setup Process

Joining SchooLinks as an Alumni allows you to view and request your transcript, complete district-issued alumni surveys, and more! The following are the minimum steps that must be taken to join your high school network:

  1. Click Add alum info in the Join your high school network section

  2. Provide the required information, then click Save & close when finished:

    • High School Attended: search for and select your high school from the pre-populated list of high schools using SchooLinks. If you do not see your high school in this list, you will not be able to use SchooLinks to connect with your high school district

    • Class Year: type in the year that you graduated high school

    • Maiden Name (optional): if your last name has changed since graduation, you have the option to type in your legal last name from when you were in high school

    • Date of Birth: type in your date of birth following the format guidelines or select your date of birth from the calendar

    • High School Experience (optional): share more about your experiences in high school

Log Into Your Member Account

To log back into your member account:

  1. Choose the login method that matches the method you used to create the account:

    • Email & Password,

    • Log in with LinkedIn, or

    • Log in with Google
