Once your Course Master file is processed, all the courses provided will populate in the Course Offerings page. The Course Offerings page in SchooLinks displays all courses loaded from your district’s Course Master file. From here, administrators can review, verify, filter, and manage courses as part of the Course Planner setup.
Access Course Offerings
Click Admin in the side navigation bar, select Course Plan Configuration, then click Course Offerings at the top of the page.

Key Terms
Verified vs. Unverified Course | A course is verified once an admin has reviewed and confirmed that it is set up correctly in SchooLinks. Unverified courses are pending review. |
Synced vs. No Longer Synced | Synced means the course is actively pulling from the SIS into SchooLinks. No longer synced means the course exists in SchooLinks but isn’t coming through from the SIS anymore. |
Active vs. Inactive Course | Active courses are offered at one or more schools and can be selected by students. Inactive courses are not tied to any school, appear grayed out, and are hidden from student planning. |
Prerequisite (Pre-Req) Course | A course that must be completed before a student can take another course. For example, Algebra I must be completed before Algebra II. |
Corequisite (Co-Req) Course | A course that must be taken at the same time as another course. For example, Biology must be taken along with Biology Lab. |
Requestable by Students | Indicates whether a course is visible and selectable by students in SchooLinks. These courses will still be visible and selectable by staff if part of the requirement. |
Elective-Eligible Course | Marks whether a course can count as an elective toward graduation requirements. |
Tags | Labels attached to courses (like AP, Honors, or Dual Credit) make them easier to identify. |
Planned vs. Taken | Planned shows how many students have added the course to their course plan. Taken shows how many students have completed it. |

Alerts
Courses No Longer Synced: These courses were included in the Course Master file at one time and are part of your course list in SchooLinks; however, they are no longer syncing from your SIS. These courses may need to be added again or removed.
Unverified Courses: These courses are indicated in red and have not yet been manually reviewed by a staff member. As you verify courses, they will change to green to indicate this.
*Note: Verifying courses is NOT a required step and will not prevent a course from displaying to students and staff. It is a process for keeping yourself organized in case your Course Master file does not contain all the information needed for the implementation.
Filters
☝️Tip: Combine multiple filters to quickly find the exact courses you need
The Filter button allows you to narrow down the course list. Filters include:
School(s) offering the course
Eligible grade levels
Subject area
Course Tags
Prerequisite or co-requisite status
Elective eligibility
Active status
Active Courses: Offered at one or more schools and available for planning.
Inactive Courses: Not tied to any school. Courses that are marked as inactive will show a grey background. These courses are not marked as being offered at any schools and cannot be seen or added by students or staff.
Sync status (whether the course is in your SIS feed)
Verification status (verified vs. unverified)
Search
Search by Course ID or Course Name to locate a specific course.
Bulk Actions
Select multiple courses and apply updates in bulk:
Mark as verified/unverified
Make requestable / not requestable by students
Mark as elective-eligible / not eligible
Export
Export a filtered list of courses to a spreadsheet. For example, you could filter to English courses and export only that subset.
Add a Course
You can add new courses directly in SchooLinks.
✅ Best Practice
We recommend adding new courses in your SIS whenever possible. Your SIS should remain the system of record, and SchooLinks will pull the data from there.
Course List Columns
Each course in the list includes the following key details:
Course ID & Course Name
Requestable by Students (Yes/No)
Courses with the green checkmark in the list are requestable by students and will appear in your SchooLinks Public Course catalog.
A requestable course is available for students to select in their Course Plan.
If a course is not requestable, students will not see the course and will not be able to add it to their course plan. Staff can still see and add courses even if they are not requestable.
Credits Awarded
Subject Area
# of Schools Offering the Course
Grade Levels Eligible
Verification Status (green indicator if verified)
Tags (e.g., AP, Dual Credit)

You can click directly on the Planned/Taken icons to view student course plans related to that course.
Best Practices for Managing Courses
✅ Verify Courses Early: Use the verification status filter to quickly track which courses have been reviewed.
✅ Rely on Your SIS: Add new or updated courses in your Student Information System first, so SchooLinks always matches your system of record.
✅ Use Filters Before Exporting: Narrow the list by subject, school, or grade level, then export only what you need.
✅ Watch for Inactive Courses: Inactive courses show in gray with no schools attached. These are hidden from students but still appear in the master list.
✅ Bulk Actions Save Time: Select multiple courses to verify and make them requestable, or set as elective-eligible all at once.
✅ Check Sync Status: Courses no longer syncing from your SIS may need to be added again or removed to keep your list accurate.
