Logging Meetings with Students

  • In this article, we will show counselors how they can log meetings they had with students.

What is logging a meeting?

You can log the meetings you had with students right from your dashboard. You can select what the meeting was about and then write notes about what was discussed.

NOTE: Only you can see what you write about student meetings. The students themselves will not be able to see any notes you take on meetings with them.

You can also write notes about students on SchooLinks. To learn how to make notes, go to Taking Notes on Students.

1. Selecting a Student

To log a meeting with a student, click on the card for that student.

2. Log Meeting

Select the box next to the subject the meeting pertained to. When a subject is selected, the box will turn blue and have a white checkmark inside.

Then type your notes about the meeting and click Save.

Once again, students will not be able to see any meeting logs you make.

Now you can read the meeting log you just wrote.

3. Edit Meeting Logs

To edit a meeting log, hover over the card of the meeting log you want to edit.

Then click the gray pencil icon that appears.

From here you can rewrite your notes from the meeting. You can also select a different subject that the meeting pertained to.

Then click Save to save what you changed.

Then you will see that your meeting log has updated.

4. Delete Meeting Logs

To delete a meeting log, hover over the card of the meeting log you want to delete.

Then click the gray pencil icon that appears.

Then click the red Delete button.

Confirm that you want to delete the meeting log.

Click Delete Note.

Now you'll see that the meeting log has been deleted.
